Design | History and Theory

COURSES

I have been teaching in the Department of Architecture, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA from 1989 to the present and have been a full time faculty member since 1996.  The major focus of my teaching has been in the fourth year Architectural Design studios in housing, and urban design.  I have also taught second, third, and fifth year architectural design.  In addition, I have taught courses in Building Technology and Design I, Site Engineering and Planning, Contract Drawings I and II, Directed Studies, and Non-Western Architectural History. 

New elective courses that I developed are Constructing Sacred Space, Affordable Housing and the Urban Community, and Boston - The City and the Sea.

2003 to present, I have coordinated and lead the Architectureal Study Survey travel with 5th year students in Italy.
